Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SOS Clays website (sosclays.com), mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform. SOS Clays is operated by SOS Clays, LLC.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users between 13 and 17 must have parental or guardian consent. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and you agree to update it as necessary.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• SOS Clays reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in activity that harms the Platform or other users.

4. Memberships and Payments

• SOS Clays offers Free and Premium ($60/year) membership tiers.
• Paid memberships are billed annually from the date of purchase.
• You may cancel your paid membership at any time. Access to paid features continues through the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
• SOS Clays reserves the right to change membership pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.
• PreSquad fees ($2.00 per post for Free-tier members) are charged at the time of squadding.

5. Shoot Data and Results

• Shoot results, scores, classifications, and Hi Gun standings are entered by clubs and shoot managers. SOS Clays displays this data as provided and is not responsible for errors in scoring or classification.
• Disputes about scores or results must be directed to the hosting club or shoot manager. SOS Clays will correct data upon confirmation from the responsible club or ATA/PITA officials.
• Shoot results are part of the public competitive record and may be viewed by other users. This is consistent with longstanding practice in organized trapshooting.
• Shoot results are retained indefinitely as part of the historical record.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or personal data
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform without written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or its servers
• Submit false or misleading information
• Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the Platform without authorization
• Impersonate another person, club, or organization
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, logos, content, and SOS Clays brand identity, is the property of SOS Clays, LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Platform without our written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (payment processors, app stores, analytics providers). SOS Clays is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that scores and results will be accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SOS Clays, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Platform, including but not limited to incorrect scores, missed notifications, service interruptions, data loss, or loss of revenue. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to SOS Clays in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SOS Clays, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform.

14. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support. SOS Clays reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections 5 (Shoot Data), 7 (Intellectual Property), 9–12 (Disclaimers, Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) survive termination.
